Our Contract

In this day and age it is sad that one must resort to entering into a legal contract for the sale of a cute little puppy. But the dog world is notorious for scams and is a breeding ground for false advertising.

This contract was drawn up by our solicitor and its intention is to protect both the buyer and the seller. It covers exactly what it is that your buying and your responsibilities and rights.  It covers our responsibilities to you and your pet.
Please note this a non-negotiable clause.

What's Included?

Take home day is a very exciting time for new puppy owners.

By the age of nine weeks your puppy will have been vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped.

ASA will provide you with a comprehensive puppy pack which contains three days of food, a snuggle rug, some toys and will have been treated with Advantix which is a backline product for the treatment of external and internal parasites collectively. Of course you will also receive documentation from our vet that your puppy is fit and healthy.

ASA provide also a very detailed booklet on caring for your puppy which includes everyday items in the home and garden that may pose a threat to your puppy’s life.

Spray & Neuter

ALL puppies that leave ASA are de-sexed at the age of eight weeks. This is a very simple procedure at this age and the puppies are not aware that it has been done.

They receive a 24 hour pain relief injection following the op and are up playing within the hour.

Our vet gives us a very good price therefore an additional $200.00 is payable on top of the purchase price. This is not negotiable but we are more than happy to discuss at length if you have any concerns or questions.

Diet

Your puppy has been raised on high quality food from his very first meal. Up until the age of eight weeks they have been given three meals a day. From the age of eight weeks it is time to cut the number of feeds from three to two adjusting the volume of food accordingly.

It is best to give your puppy a variety of food. It is my experience that canned food should be avoided if possible. The nutrients are minimal as the food is almost eighty percent water. If canned food is used as a treat then please mix some dried food in with it.

The following are the foods that your puppy has be fed to date:

  • Minces. We use three different meats (kangaroo, chicken and beef). Please introduce small amounts of kangaroo as it can cause foul odours and sometimes loose stools. Mince is never cooked.
  • Either SuperCoat or The Science Diet Puppy Kibble. If you wish to change the brand then read the label and ensure that it contains at least 28% protein.
  • Vegetables. Any cooked mashed vegetables mixed with the minces are a great way to supplement many vitamins and minerals into the diets.
